Holidays and Walking Holidays in Emilia Romagna, Italy

ACCOMMODATION
Our home is the last house in the small hamlet of Bedogno, it overlooks vineyards at the back and has great views of hills and mountains all around. Bedogno itself is very picturesque and the local town of Villa Minozzo is within walking distance. Here, there are shops, banks, Post Office, several restaurants, cafes and bars, supermarket, open-air swimming pool and sports facilities.

The house itself caters for 10 guests. There are twin or double bedrooms.
Each bedroom shares a bathroom, kitchen, lounge and south facing balcony with one other.
We've called the first floor 'Apartamento Botticelli' as it has a mural (2m x 4m) of Botticelli's 'Primavera' in the lounge.
This is a great opportunity to study the work of this wonderful Italian painter, and perhaps inspire you to try something different!
The top floor we have named after the great Michelangelo. Unfortunately we have no original work(!!) but have replicas (and a couple of Pheona's copies) of some of his famous paintings and sculptures for you to appreciate.

Throughout the house there are original oil and watercolour paintings, and also copies of classical masterpieces of art.
We have a room on the ground floor which may suit those who have difficulty with stairs.

There is a very large sun deck.

We can watch the deer in the field outside, eagles soaring above, irridescent fireflies in June and butterflies all summer long. It's a nature lovers' paradise.
|
|
|
It's within walking distance of many trails, fields of wild flowers, agricultural land, orchards, grape vines, a river to walk alongside (or go for a cooling dip!), and the lovely hamlet itself.
Oh, and there is TV, DVD and Wireless Broadband in the living areas on each floor

Emilia Romagna boasts being the gastronomic capital of Italy with its Parmesan and other local cheeses, all the different types of hams (Parma ham), truffles, porcini mushrooms, lambrusco and various other delicacies too numerous to mention. We serve only local and fresh food. Fruit and vegetables are from our own organic garden.
We have found that a continental breakfast suits early risers and late risers equally. You have a small private kitchen on each floor where you can have a liesurely breakfast whenever you like. You are on holiday after all!
You can also have tea, coffee etc at any time.
Lunch is usually served on the sun deck from April to October.
Dinner is the traditional 4 courses of the area; First a starter, then a primo piatto which is usually a pasta based dish, then secondo which is protein and vegetables, and to finish a sweet, coffee etc. And plenty of everything if you wish. In summer we dine in our outdoor dining area in the garden which is very pretty at night with fairy lights and candles. And one night out in a local restaurant.

We are also happy to cater for vegetarian and other diets, just let us know in advance.
